They will share their employee engagement listening journey, highlight key impact areas, engage in dialogue about current programs and best practices.   Attendees will gain practical insights into connecting engagement results to strategic priorities, ideas for application across different talent segments - including front-line, and fostering a culture of ongoing listening. 

About the Presenters:

Shannon Horne, the Senior Director of Enterprise and HR Transformation at CHS, Inc, is a seasoned human resources professional on a mission to help organizations transform, grow and deliver on their people strategies. With over 20 years of experience, Shannon has dedicated her time to developing people-centric strategies and leading successful and large-scale change initiatives that drive profitable growth with prioritizing employe well-being through rewards and recognition programs. Her expertise lies in creating innovative HR practices, fostering organizational shifts and ensuring that employees are at the heart of every strategic decision. Shannon’s commitment to delivering a balanced approach between the business and its talent has made her highly successful in her role, leading enterprise transformation efforts and establishing a more mature organizational design and organizational effectiveness capabilities.

Erin Olson is a Senior Director Human Resources and Talent Management at CHS, Inc. the nation’s leading farmer-owned cooperative and a global energy, grains and foods company. In the role, Olson leads the strategic design, development and implementation of talent-oriented solutions, values initiatives, and engagement and culture work.

Olson has been with CHS 5 years and ensures the enterprise has a pipeline of talent with right skills and behaviors to help our owners grow. Prior to CHS, Erin has demonstrated experience in multiple industries and delivering transformative HR work during times of rapid growth. Her passion for helping individuals and organizations elevate one another and leading with high level intentionality, adaptability and authenticity has enabled her success.

Outside of work, you can find Erin nurturing her family, hobbies, and friendships. She lives near CHS Inc headquarters with a busy home life with her husband and 3 boys. Olson currently serves on the board and on multiple committees at Dodge Nature Center in West St. Paul. She has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Metropolitan State University and a master’s degree in HR and Change Leadership from St. Thomas University of Minnesota.
